Miki Barber

American Sprinter and Gold Medalist

Miki Barber’s star-studded track and field career began in high school, and twenty years later, she’s showing no signs of slowing down. In high school, she was a national champion sprinter and state record holder for seventeen years. She then went on to be a five-time NCAA champion, eight-time SEC champion, and twenty-time All-American by the end of her career at USC. But she didn’t stop there.

Miki competed on Team USA in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, in the World Championships in Athletics (WCA) in 2007, and in the Pan Am Games (PAG) in Rio de Janeiro that same year. She won gold medals in both the WCA and the PAG, solidifying herself as one of the world’s fastest women. In 2015, she became the first women’s track and field athlete to have her jersey retired at USC and was inducted into the USC Lettermen’s Hall of Fame in 2015.

Miki is an assistant track coach at Pasadena City College, a personal trainer, and an entrepreneur who still races today.

“BEMER has helped me tremendously in my overall health. The main thing that I’ve noticed is that l have way more energy, even after tough workouts. I used to feel extremely drained and was always looking for a pick-me-up. Now, l don’t even feel the need or want to take a nap.”

About the Sport

Sprinters like Miki push the boundaries of human speed almost every day. When they’re not winning medals or setting records on the track, they’re taking their bodies to the extreme in training to maximize their speed and power. Track and field competitors place immense stress on their hips, knees, and ankles, making overuse injuries a common concern. Injuries involving knees, ankles and feet are just a few of the problems these athletes have to contend with. Track and field professionals like Miki use BEMER to stimulate localized circulation in their leg muscles, increasing blood flow to facilitate recovery and improve muscular performance.
