Professional Polo Player Brandon Phillips Joins BEMER’s Roster of Elite Athlete Ambassadors
Wellington, Fla. – June 10, 2020 – Brandon Phillips has had an unarguably successful career as a professional polo player, and while his successes throughout his career have been a major highlight, Phillips has shared on multiple occasions that he is in the sport for one reason: his love of the horses. Brandon Phillips played his first polo match at 11 years old, and made the leap to professional status in 1995 at just 17 years old. He continues to play at the top levels with a resume that boasts many victories, such as the USPA Silver Cup, The Gold Cup of Americas, CV Whitney Cup, East Coast Open and Pacific Coast Open to name a few. In addition to these accomplishments, Phillips has played in several US Opens reaching the finals and semi-finals and is currently a member of the Postage Stamp Farm Polo Team.
While his life has not been short of success in the polo field, one of his greatest triumphs is battling and beating stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 14. Given only six weeks to live, Phillips’ unwavering grit allowed him to conquer his diagnosis and utilize his love of horses to aid him through his recovery. It was this life experience that would lead Phillips to found Polo for Life, a non-profit organization that raises funds for pediatric cancer patients and their families.
